The Nasdaq Futures Internship Program provides successful candidates with a unique opportunity to experience a challenging and immersive 10-week internship. As participants in the Nasdaq Futures Internship Program, you will deliver real, impactful work within a business unit. You will work on a defined project and partner with a mentor, network with senior colleagues, and present your project at the end of the program. You will also participate in learning & development opportunities as well as “lunch and learn” sessions with senior leaders.

This Nasdaq Internship runs for 10 weeks commencing from June to August. Upon completion of this internship, outstanding interns will be evaluated for full-time opportunities with NASDAQ post-graduation.

Project Overview

The internship will involve building new features (APIs, analytics, and data products) on Nasdaq Cloud Data Service (NCDS) - a modern and efficient method of delivery for real-time exchange data and other financial information. Data is made available through a suite of APIs, allowing for effortless integration of data from disparate sources, and a dramatic reduction in time to market for customer-designed applications. The API is highly scalable and robust enough to support the delivery of real-time exchange data.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

Your Role

• Participate in the early stage of projects in defining the platform for the next generation machine intelligence products
• Build APIs and processing pipelines for multi-tenant, high-volume, distributed, and real-time systems
• You will develop applications from the ground up using a modern technology stack such as Python, Core Java, Spark, serverless technologies, Postgres, NoSQL, Kafka, and Presto
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to develop experiments

• Is working on completing a degree in Computer Science, or Software/Computer Engineering, or Information Technology or related field (must be graduating by June 2022)
• Knowledge of OOP and/or Functional Programming
• Knowledge of data-driven systems
• Stay current on technological and analytical trends

• Has a positive attitude
