    The Nasdaq Futures Internship Program provides successful candidates with a unique opportunity to experience a challenging and immersive 10-week internship. As participants in the Nasdaq Futures Internship Program, you will deliver real, impactful work within a business unit. You will work on a defined project and partner with a mentor, network with senior colleagues, and present your project at the end of the program. You will also participate in learning & development opportunities as well as “lunch and learn” sessions with senior leaders.

    This Nasdaq Internship runs for 10 weeks commencing from June to August.

    Objectives of this Role

    Our Team

    The Nasdaq Risk Platform team is a SaaS cloud product that services the risk management needs of broker-dealers in the financial industry. The Nasdaq Risk Platform development team is responsible for developing this platform which involves a combination of technology expertise and if possible experience in financial markets equities and commodities financial products.

    Project Overview

    A Java development project is dependent on the intern's technical and quantitative skills.

    The specific project may be the implementation of a new financial product, enhancing the system user interface, or adding new risk functionality.

    Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

    Your Role

    The Nasdaq Risk Platform Developer intern's role will be to work as part of the Nasdaq Risk Platform development team on enhancing the platform. The intern will be assigned specific development assignments aligned with their technical and quantitative skills if applicable.

    These assignments will be taken from the product backlog and will be selected to give the intern the best possible learning opportunity while contributing to improving the product as part of the team.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Is working on completing a degree in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or a related field (preferably graduating in 2022 or 2023)
    • Quantitative financial skills would also be useful though not a pre-requisite
    • The candidate should at least have an interest in Financial Markets as well as technology to be suitable for this role

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Primarily must have Java development expertise
    • Ideally additional experience in one or more of React, Kubernetes, Kafka
