Job Description
The Nasdaq Futures Internship Program provides successful candidates with a unique opportunity to experience a challenging and immersive 10-week internship. As participants in the Nasdaq Futures Internship Program, you will deliver real, impactful work within a business unit. You will work on a defined project and partner with a mentor, network with senior colleagues, and present your project at the end of the program. You will also participate in learning & development opportunities as well as “lunch and learn” sessions with senior leaders.
This Nasdaq Internship runs for 10 weeks commencing from June to August.
Objectives of this Role
Our Team
The Expense Management and Strategic Sourcing team are responsible for effectively managing Nasdaq’s external spend, while continuously seeking areas of opportunity to create cost efficiencies throughout the firm. In addition, this team’s mission is to offer comprehensive spending transparency through innovative analytics. The team utilizes this data to optimize expenses through the application of traditional and non-traditional cost reduction strategies.
Project Overview
Among other sourcing and expense management activities, this intern will assist in performing diligence and analysis on Nasdaq's resellers (third-party suppliers which resell other original equipment manufacturers (OEM) goods and/or services). Nasdaq currently has 15+ resellers, with multi-millions in spend, used across the organization from a global perspective and the team is interested in pursuing fewer, more strategic, relationships, that provide the company with more value from a cost perspective.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Your Role
Your role will primarily be responsible for supporting special projects and expense management activities across all categories of spend within the firm, including, but not limited to, Technology, Market Data, Marketing, Finance, and Legal. Ideal candidates will possess a strong interest in business analysis and strategic thinking.
