    PURPOSE STATEMENT

    The intern will provide support within the Corporate Distribution team in the Foodservice Division.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

    The Intern will support the following activities:

    • Customer Support
    • Provide support to the Sysco OSD initiative:
    • execute the organization of requests, obtain internal Rich's information, and support the long-term management of the Sysco portal input to ensure Rich's content is up to date and accurate.
    • Ensure Sysco OSD timelines and metrics are met to avoid fees and deliver best in class support.
    • Work with our Distribution Segment Marketer as well as COE and CBU's to ensure other customer portals are maintained, updated, and progress is made to improve customer scorecards.
    • Support Corporate Distribution with the communication of product discontinuations.
    • Acquisition Integration - Analysis and Support :
    • Work with Corporate Distribution Team to identify pre- and post-acquisition stocking of key distribution to ensure Rich's has maintained all slots and work with Account Managers on any gaps or opportunities (Signature, Cottage, Christies, f'real).
    • Customer Research and Analytics : consumer and market trends identification and analysis.
    • Review current customer data sources (PFG Insights & Impact, Attribytes, Non-Comm Dashboards & Distribution Dashboards for Business Reviews) to build out any recovery trend, perceived opportunities, or risks.
    • Identify broadline distribution Product Codes (or Platforms) that are accelerating through industry recovery and build gap plans or customer / market initiatives as needed.
    • Support strategic new product platform launches and our distributor stocking strategy through the development of foodservice trends reports, support with Datassential SCORES menu concept development, menu tends analysis for key regions, customers or segments.
    • Trade Show & Conference Support: support with trade show and event planning and coordination.
    • Support both Corporate Distribution and Field Sales Teams with any planning, samples, digital or other needs to help plan and execute both summer and fall trade show and conferences.
    • Support in our annual IFDA (International Foodservice Distributors Association) Partners Executive Forum planning and preparation.
    • Strategic Planning : support of the 2023-24 foodservice division strategic planning process including assistance with the Distribution Strategic Plans and Account Plans.

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

    • Students must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree majoring in related business field
    • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize and be able to successfully handle several projects at once, organizational skills is a must
    • Must be resourceful; able to figure out who or where to look for information
    • Detail oriented with solid written and verbal communication skills
    • Microsoft Office 365 proficient, and computer savvy (i.e. use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
    • Ideally, some background, passion or interest in food!
