    PURPOSE STATEMENT

    Lead commercialization development and/or formulation improvement of current market products in our protein category, e.g. seafood, fish, shrimp, cheese. Engage with the team on creative concept ideation and process improvement. Secondary responsibilities will include assisting R&D with new product launches, plant trials, and equipment optimization.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

    • Collection and analysis of data with the goal of optimizing formulation and equipment for product and process improvement

    • Secondary responsibilities include actively participating in team meetings and plant trials

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

    • Prefer a student majoring in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field

    • No previous intern experience required

    • May be a rising junior/senior or graduate student

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required

    • Experience with SAP/PLM is preferred but not required

    • Must be detail-oriented with creative problem solving capability

    • Must be open to tasting and testing protein food products within the SeaPak and Farm Rich brands research category including shrimp, fish, cheese, and meat

    • Physically able to work in a plant environment, including occasional work in warm, humid conditions

    • Able to operate test equipment like thermometers, high speed blenders, ovens, fryers, and general lab equipment

    • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
