In this role you will bring a new level of rigor to Starbucks’ Category Management team. You will contribute to our success by guiding business decisions with deep data analysis and creative visualization. You will simplify complex data, identify trends, and translate those into strategic stories with action plans to grow category volume. You will improve Starbucks’ return on investment for current data by solving critical business issues. This position partners with a cross-functional business team of managers and analysts that lead strategic initiatives to unlock opportunities that support our business. Looking for a partner that wants to participate in actively redefining the industry gold standard for category strategic analytics and insights.

Leveraging your previous experience, we will enable you to:

• Support field teams with real time business needs including shelving, pricing, distribution, shopper and activation recommendations
• Create compelling selling stories that grow both category and Starbucks’ sales
• Leverage Consumer and Shopper Knowledge to identify needs and define meaningful solutions
• Evaluate promotion effectiveness and recommend actions that drive stronger programs
• Identify the most important business questions and lead a deep dive analysis to inform highest level business decisions
• Develop Category Development capabilities/strategies that will enable our field partners
• Build templates that are easy to refresh and export for broad audience usage
• Identify the most important business challenges to work on
• Use creative methods to step-change how Starbucks leverages large syndicated datasets
• Translate findings into simple, actionable recommendations for business partners
