As a Starbucks Decision Scientist, you will guide business decisions by analyzing, interpreting, visualizing and extracting insights from large-scale people and operational data. You will design and execute on analytical plans to meet business objectives in support of Partner Resources (HR) and Operations with the goal of enhancing the Starbucks partner (employee) and customer experience.

    LEVERAGING YOUR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE, WE WILL ENABLE YOU TO:

    • Collaborate with business partners to define business questions and translate unstructured strategic questions into a structured analysis plan
    • Design & implement measurement plans to ensure that the methodology matches the use case, that the recommendations and conclusions are appropriately contextualized
    • Analyze and explore data via a variety of statistical techniques to generate actionable insights
    • Create deliverables (decks and dashboards) that surface impactful KPIs to business users and empower them to make day-to-day data-driven decisions
  • Qualifications

    WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM PEOPLE WITH:

    •Demonstrated experience with SQL

    •High proficiency with Python or R; familiarity with both

    •Deep knowledge of statistics (descriptive and inferential.)

    •Business experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)

    •People analytics experience preferred
