Food Science Technical Service Intern, Eastern Region & National Accounts Team
Ingredion is hiring a Summer Intern to support our Eastern Region and National Accounts team in the US/Canada region in new product development and creating customer valued solutions. The Summer Intern will be responsible for developing/preparing food formulations and prototypes for various customer and business initiatives on a pilot plant and lab bench top scale utilizing Good Manufacturing Practices. They will perform research related duties as needed or assigned, support internal and external customer request; execute on analytical testing as well as document and prepare technical reports with guidance from manager.

Progress towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food or Chemical Engineering or a related field with a minimum GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 preferred
Must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.
Ability to work 40hrs per week during the summer internship term
Experience with hands-on food concept development with laboratory and/or pilot plant equipment is a plus
Knowledge of common food processes, food ingredient functionality and ingredient interactions preferred
Excellent organizational, communication skills
Reliable transportation required to get to and from facility each work day
Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
Collaborate with direct Manager and Technical Service team members and other internal colleagues to meet target objectives
Have a passion for food science and curiosity for learning
Are ambitious, able to prioritize, well organized, good with time management and deadlines
Motivated to demonstrate the capacity to learn, utilize, and strengthen understanding of the function of our products and how they interact with other ingredients in a range of applications
