  • Responsibilities

    Summer Intern to support our Western Region Technical Service team in the US/Canada region with new product development and in creating customer-valued solutions. The Summer Intern will be responsible for developing/preparing food formulations and prototypes for various customer and business initiatives on a pilot plant and lab bench top scale utilizing Good Manufacturing Practices. They will perform research-related duties as needed or assigned; support internal and external customer requests; and execute on analytical testing as well as document and prepare technical reports with guidance from manager.

    Qualified candidates will have:

    • Progress towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Food Science, Food, Marketing or a related field with a minimum GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 preferred
    • Ability to work 40hrs per week during the summer internship term
    • Demonstrated experience with hands-on food concept development formulation laboratory and/or pilot plant equipment
    • Knowledge of common food processes, food ingredient functionality and ingredient interactions preferred
    • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills (technical reports for distribution, presentations, data analysis etc.)
    • Proven proficiency using MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ect.)
    • Ability to travel 10-15% domestically
    • Reliable transportation required to get to and from facility each work day

    • Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor’s Degree Program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.
