    Job Description Summary

    Ingredion is hiring a Global Marketing Generalist Intern who will support integrated marketing communications planning and development for the specialties business. Reporting to the Marketing Communications Lead, this person will assist in managing and driving the marketing communications planning process, timeline and deliverables with internal teams and agency partners. They will collaborate with Marcom Lead to review creative and messaging, with channel owners to align on tactics, and with key stakeholders to coordinate approvals. They will work with the Performance Marketing lead to measure and report on results of communications activities and outline continuous improvement opportunities. At the end of the internship, they will have the opportunity to develop and present a mini-marketing communications campaign for a select global initiative leveraging all that they have learned throughout the summer.

    Core responsibilities:

    • Support Marcom Lead throughout marketing communications integrated planning and development process; assist in managing and driving deliverables with internal teams and agency partners. Aid in developing SOWs and briefs, managing timelines, and building deliverables
    • Collaborate with Marcom Lead on communications strategy to enhance position within the marketplace, leveraging relevant market research and competitive intel
    • Participate in thought leadership activities as well as the external positioning of Ingredion in the industry
    • Participate in strategic and creative design of marketing communications activities and materials including advertising, website, thought leadership, social media, video production, live and virtual events, and client presentations
    • Ensure alignment of event, social and campaign strategies to the global/centralized calendar
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to brainstorm tactics, create messaging, define positioning, and develop content specific to key audiences
    • Write and edit copy for range of materials and channels
    • Measure and reportresultsto continuously improve

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Progress towards a bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Marketing or related field
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
    • Working knowledge of basic computer software applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Ingredion does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position or to provide this position as OPT or CPT.
