    The Ingredion IT Operations team has an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated and dynamic college student to join the organization for an internship during the summer of 2023. In this role, you will have the opportunity for hands on operational activities in support of Ingredion’s global IT infrastructure landscape.

    Working under the guidance of the Senior Manager of Global Infrastructure Operations, you will help monitor and support over 80 sites, 3 regional data centers that support the business of Ingredion and its workforce more than 7,500 employees. You will help drive the digital transformation, cloud first strategies of the department and will have a role in delivering on new technology to our Ingredion business customers across all regions.

    As an IT Operations Intern, your responsibilities will include:

    • Helping drive the digital transformation, cloud-first strategies of the department

    • Working with the team to maintain asset and inventory management to create accurate spend forecast on a quarterly basis

    • Assisting to secure all infrastructure assets through a disciplined patch management program and in conjunction with the IT Cyber Security department

    • Helping present to the IT Leadership Team (ITLT) monthly on uptime, service levels, and daily reporting of key performance metrics on all operational aspects of the infrastructure landscape

    • Delivering on new technology to our business customers across all regions (scope includes Data Centers/Server Rooms, Servers, Virtual landscapes, Storage arrays, Email/Collaboration, and Backups for all locations)

    • Maintaining established service levels communicating monthly performance against service levels to business and IT leadership

    • Assists with tools and technologies with end user workstations.

    • Assists leaders in improving current process and creating standard operating procedures, and end user instruction guides.

    The IT Operations Internship is well suited for you if you:

    • Have an interest in helping identify and deliver innovative technology solutions that deliver business value and improve customer experience

    • Have a continuous performance improvement mindset and can identify and initiate process improvements for performance gaps across all infrastructure competencies and suppliers

    • Can build and maintain effective working relationships between internal employees and external service providers that will help facilitate effective communication of business needs and delivery of quality service

    Qualified candidates will have:

    • Progress towards a bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field with a GPA of at least 3.0 / 4.0 preferred

    • Ability to work 40hrs per week during the summer internship term.

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others

    • Knowledge of current and emerging technologies, technology directions and strategic application to business needs

    • Hardware knowledge – both network, infrastructure and end users’ devices preferred

    • Ability to work on a cross-functional team across distinct business units, work with and through others to achieve desired results

    • An understanding of business operations and processes

    To be eligible for consideration, candidates must:

    • Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Ingredion does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position or to provide this position as OPT or CPT.

    • Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree Program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.
