The Ingredion Digital Transformation team has an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated and dynamic college student to join the organization for an internship during the summer of 2021. In this role, you will perform statistical data analysis, data mining and optimizations using multiple tools and techniques to provide insights of manufacturing operations data. We are looking for someone who has a strong initiative to improve status-quo and incorporate change in a dynamic work environment. As the Power BI Developer Intern, your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with onsite IT team to design, implement and develop reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI & Report Builder
• Using Agile methodologies in all facets of Software Development Life Cycle (Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and maintenance)
• Embedding Power BI reports on Salesforce portal page and managing access of reports and data for individual users using Roles. Integrate Power BI with INTUNE app
• Writing detailed reports in Power BI desktop tool connecting to Excel, SAP BW, Salesforce, SharePoint, Teams & Azure SQL Database to extract data and transform using Power Query editor and developing data models accordingly to meet the business requirements
• Using advanced DAX skills to generate calculated columns, computed tables & dynamic measures in Power BI & Tabular cubes
• The ability to implement Row level security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI
• The ability to publish and schedule reports in Power BI Service for sharing with users as per the business requirements
• Installing and configuring Power BI Enterprise Gateway and Personal Gateway in Power BI Services to keep the dashboards and reports up to date
• Developing tabular and multidimensional (SSAS) models that are compatible with warehouse standards.
• Assisting with ad-hoc reports, data driven subscription reports, Linked reports, Parameterized Reports, Sub reports by Region, Year, Quarter and Month by using Report Builder as needed
• Performing peer reviews on source code to ensure reuse, scalability and the use of best practices
• Taking ownership and actively contributing to existing Ingredion Power BI community by providing tool updates and IT activities within BI space

The Power BI Intern is well suited for you if you:

• Are organized, detailed, and service oriented with a strong character and leadership style
• Are technically proficient and utilize technology in creative problem-solving ways to influence strategic decision-making

Qualified candidates will have:

• Progress towards a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field with a minimum GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 preferred
• Ability to work 40hrs per week during the summer internship term
• Demonstrated developing skills with Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, T-SQL, Python, R, or other data visualization platforms preferred
• Experience using version control software like GitHub, TFS, Azure DevOps preferred
• Developed custom calculated measures using DAX in Power BI to satisfy business requirements preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure platform and a deep understanding and build experience with Analysis Services cube in Azure platform preferred
• Good communication skills (both oral and written)
• Expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Pro, Power BI Premium & Power BI Mobile preferred
• Hands-on experience in several Data Flow transformations including Derived-Column, Script, Slowly Changing Dimension, Look up, Data Conversion, Conditional-Split techniques, Merge, Multicast, Union all preferred
