The Process Technology Intern will support progression of a well-defined research project related to nature based ingredient processing. The Intern will be involved in evaluating a sequence of unit operations, optimization of process parameters and scale-up of new products / processes in the pilot plant. The work would include running lab and pilot trials, evaluation / validation of new analytical techniques, interpretation and analysis of process and analytical data, defining scale-up conditions / requirements and producing pilot quantities of the final product for internal and customer evaluations

Qualified candidates will need to have:

• Progress towards a bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of basic computer software applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Ability to work 40hrs per week during the summer internship term
