Production Specialist, Tea, 2nd shift, Kent Flexible Plant
JOB SUMMARY AND MISSION
This job contributes to Starbucks success by assisting with operator training, production tracking, and process improvement in the Kent Roasting Plant. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Assists in the development and administration of the operator training process to ensure an efficient and quality driven operation. Facilitates the production training and evaluation process. Documents training and trainee evaluations.
Assists in the development and maintenance of tracking systems for reporting production efficiency, productivity and scrap loss.
Coordinates with production and distribution partners on finished goods inventory issues.
Helps production partners diagnose and resolve operational issues. Monitors logs to track recurring production problems and recommends process changes. Develops and maintains troubleshooting information for production equipment.
Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
Monitors system error logs and production inventories.
Works with Supply Chain and Coffee Operations (SCCO) engineering partners to evaluate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all production equipment and maintains SOP files for the Roasting Plant.

Collecting and analyzing data to make process improvement recommendations 1 year
Large-scale manufacturing or warehouse environment 1 year
Technical writing
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to read, write and understand polices, guidelines, specifications and safety standards
Basic math skills
Organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with American Institute of Baking (AIB), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards
Knowledge of production tracking software
Ability to gather, record and report inventory and system information using manual and automated systems
Ability to prioritize projects
Ability to work in accordance with quality, safety, and sanitation standards, policies and guidelines
