Supporting corporate quality and food safety functions. Possible activities and responsibilities include:

• Computer-based research such as performing literature searches, risk assessments, and institutional requirements to develop for food safety and quality standards
• Perform audits, conduct risk analyses, and develop action plans
• Create, write, and execute quality & food safety programs, procedures, and training
• Design and execution of experiments and/or researching novel testing technology
• Data analysis such as performance metrics, test data, consumer complaints
• Assist group with special projects and workload, as needed
• Lead a QFS project and present project to QFS leadership team

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Management of multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, and in meeting tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong analytical skills and statistical knowledge
• Self-starter and leader amongst peers
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

The ideal candidate will have:

• Enrollment in BS or MS Food Science, Food Microbiology, Food Chemistry or similar program
• Exposure to Dairy technology is a plus
