  • Responsibilities

    Ingredion is looking for an outgoing student to join the company during summer 2022 as an Ingredient Informatics Intern. In this internship, you will support development and implementation of a new software platform for capturing and storing scientific data.

    As an Ingredient Informatics Intern, your responsibilities will include:

    • Supporting the development and implementation of our new laboratory data platform
    • Working with users to collect feedback and feature requests and forward them to the development team
    • Capturing and digitizing workflows
    • Participating in the creation and updating of end-user documentation, Q&A's, written guides and training materials
    • Preparing the setup of the new laboratories to start using the platform
    • Supporting the ad-hoc tasks that evolve out of project implementation
    • Supporting the global team in the roll out of the platform in global product development
    • Coordinating internal communications

    The Ingredient Informatics Intern position is well suited for you if you:

  • Qualifications

    Qualified candidates will have:

    • Progress towards a Bachelor's degree program in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Food Science or related discipline, with current standing as a rising junior or rising senior preferred
    • A minimum GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 preferred
    • Ability to work 40hrs per week during the summer internship term 
    • Relevant practical experience in coding is required
    • Experience in digital projects, database development, change management, or working in the lab preferred
    • Experience working in a team environment
    • Reliable transportation required to travel to and from the facility each workday

    To be eligible for consideration, candidates must:

    • Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Ingredion does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position or to provide this position as OPT or CPT.
    • Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor’s Degree Program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.
