    Ingredion is seeking a skilled Senior Technologist to support our distributor strategy through hands-on technical expertise and cross-functional collaboration. Your knowledge and our innovative ingredient solutions will drive customer success across diverse food applications.

    As a Senior Technologist, Technical Service , you will directly support our Distributor accounts and the implementation of a Distributor strategy. The Senior Technologist will develop solutions across all food application areas (Bakery, Dairy, Savory, etc). Activities will include leading customers projects, preparing customer meetings & trainings, ongoing customer support/troubleshooting, bench top analysis, as well as food pilot plant activities. The Senior Technologist will have responsibility for establishing and maintaining working relationships with technical individuals at customer accounts. This role will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Applications teams to promote functional, value-added ingredients and solutions to meet customer needs.

    This role reports to the Sr Manager, Technical Service, T&HS, US/CAN

    What you will do (Responsibilities):

    • Support assigned accounts and leading customer projects with these accounts.

    • Support implementation of Ingredion’s distributor strategy.

    • Understand the customer’s strategy and how it translates into their technical needs. Identify opportunities for customers to enhance and expand their product offerings through Ingredion’s technical solutions. Leverage this insight to create value for the customer.

    • Provide technical support to customers across a broad range of food applications by applying product and application knowledge to identify effective solutions. Execute well-defined experiments and procedures to develop food prototypes.

    • Conduct pilot and production scale trials in our Food Pilot Plant and at customers’ facilities

    • Build open and collaborative relationships with customers and Ingredion’s Sales, Marketing, Quality, and Applications teams

    • Utilize project management skills to deliver projects on time and prioritize work according to shifting customer needs

    What you will bring (Experience and Knowledge):

    • M.S./B.S in Food Science/ Food Engineering/ Chemical Engineering with 3 to 5 years of relevant industry experience

    • Prior customer experience and working with technical information (i.e. food formulations, food processing specifications, pilot plant procedures, etc.)

    • Demonstrated experience with hands-on food concept development formulation using culinary, laboratory and/or pilot plant equipment

    • Knowledge of common food applications/ processes, food ingredient functionality and ingredient interactions

    • Ability to travel ~30% domestically.

    Pay Range:
    $81,680.00-$108,906.67 Annual

    This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

    Incentive Compensation:

    As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
