  • Responsibilities

    Ingredion is seeking a Supply Chain Analytics Intern to support the North American supply chain team in the areas of ag sales, commodities, customer support, logistics, sales & operations planning, specialty grain, and tolling operations. You will work with senior management to support the overarching strategy using continuous improvement standard methodologies to control cost and improve service levels ensuring customer satisfaction is met. This role will require the support of various important projects and initiatives, working with areas of supply chain including manufacturing plants, distribution, and sales. We believe this internship will help you learn how to apply the skills you've learned in class to a corporate setting.

    As the Supply Chain Analytics Intern, your responsibilities will include:

    • Executing on pricing requests and analyzing customer volume trends, the distribution network, OTIF failures, cost savings opportunities, and other ad-hoc analyses.
    • Understanding supply chain strategy and how it is operationally executed.
    • Assisting with updating, maintaining and improving various databases relative to freight pay, product modes, routing guides, shipment history, and transit times.
    • Analyzing of bid requests, rate procurement activities, and KPI development & maintenance.
    • Working with the management team to codify and institutionalize standard methodologies within the supply chain group.
    • Offering data supported, out of the box solutions for supply chain’s daily challenges.
    • Developing and leveraging cross functional relationships with sales, finance, and manufacturing as needed.

    The Supply Chain Analytics Intern position is well suited for you if you:

  • Qualifications

    Qualified candidates will need to have:

    • Progress towards a bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance or related field with a minimum GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 preferred.
    • Ability to work 40hrs per week during the summer internship term.
    • Good judgement and quick decision-making skills within the business field.
    • Excellent attention to detail and verbal & written communication skills.
    • Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools (Lean Six Sigma).
    • Proficiency with building queries and managing & visualizing data within Excel, Access, Tableau, or Power BI.
    • Understanding of automation tools, preferred.  For example: macros, RPA, MS Flow and Power Automate.
    • Understanding of data linkage tools such as EDI, API, FTP, and SFTP, preferred.
    • Software knowledge including SAP, Sales Force, and TMS platforms such as Mercury Gate, JDA, BluJay, or BDS, preferred.

    • Be a currently enrolled student in a bachelor’s degree program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.
