Ingredionis looking for a TechnicalSalesIntern who will be part of our Virtual Sales Team.In this role, you will interact directly with our small and medium customers via our online chat and our 1-800 line, providing them with technical product recommendations for their food & beverage applications. You will be joining a team of 12 and enjoying significant on-the-job training and support from other team members. This internship is ideal for students who are interested in Ingredion as an employer upon graduation and would like to better understand our portfolio of starches, sweeteners, plant-based proteins and hydrocolloids.

As the Technical Sales Intern, your responsibilities will include:  

• Answer customer inquiries from the 1-800 line and online chat 

• Develop an understanding of Ingredion’s product portfolio

• Develop an understanding of technical sales and how to help customers solve their technical and formulation needs

• Complete an assigned capstone project 

• Maintain customer information in Salesforce.com

• Have an interest in pursuing a technical sales/business development career

Qualified candidates will have:

• Sophomore or junior in a Bachelor’s degree program

• Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 

• Ability to work 40 hrs per week during the summer internship term  

• Excellent communication skills   

• Reliable transportation required to travel to and from facility

• Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD Degree Program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.
