This massive 20,000 square foot New York Roastery, featuring Reserve Coffee and Princi food, signifies where we are going as a company.  We’ll bring coffee and food to life in a fully immersive, theater-like, hospitality-inspired experience unlike anything the coffee or retail industry has ever seen.

    As an ADMINISTRATION & SCHEDULING SPECIALIST in the New York Reserve Roastery, you manage the schedules and key store initiatives for the management and retail staff teams. You ensure operations run smoothly and will be able to apply your skillset to: 

    LEADERSHIP 

    • Manages with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks
    • Role models a passion for service, coffee curiosity, operations excellence and innovation while inspiring partners to deliver the Roastery & Reserve Experience
    • Demonstrates a calm demeanor during periods of high volume and manages smooth transitions to keep store operating to established standards and to set a positive example for the store team

    PLANNING & EXECUTION

    • Works with general manager and management team to help inform and develop strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results 
    • Collaborates cross functionally with the Global Starbucks’ teams to ensure open communication across markets 
    • Provides input into store staffing levels and decisions to ensure appropriate staffing and scheduling and to maximize partner development

    SCHEDULING & ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALTY

    • Manages local administrative paperwork as required by market, completes onboarding process paperwork and basic knowledge of payroll 
    • Is aware of future staffing needs and informs on staffing strategies
    • Ensures partner time punches are correct and reallocates labor cost as necessary 
    • Oversees cash handling protocol; completes cash audits, safe audits, and maintains appropriate documentation

    BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS 

    • Communicates observations, actions, outcomes, and follow-up items to management team on a regular basis 
    • Develops and maintains positive relationships with others by understanding and addressing individual motivation, cultural nuances, needs and concerns
    • Supports management team in ensuring partners adhere to operational compliance requirements
    • Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational tools and programs to recognize partners

    SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCES 

    • Experience writing complex schedules for high number of partners, inform staffing strategies, processing payroll, completing audits, organizing and maintaining employee records/documentation 
    • Progressively responsible retail or restaurant management experience
    • Available to work flexible hours, which could include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays 
    • Proficiency using store computer systems and programs
    • Organization, planning, and strong problem-solving skills 
    • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
