  • Responsibilities

    We’re looking for a designer to join our Global Creative Studio in Seattle. You’ll work with talented creatives to help drive the success of one of the world’s most recognized and beloved brands. You’ll develop concepts for the packaging and Starbucks Card team and see your work come to life in Starbucks stores all over the world.

    • An innovative and strategic thinker who exhibits a relentlessly creative thought process
    • A strong foundation in graphic design, typography, composition and layout skills
    • Outstanding communication skills; the ability to eloquently and passionately present a creative point of view and design direction
    • Someone who actively seeks creative feedback from other designers and managers during the course of the project
    • Someone who openly shares project status with creative directors and project managers
    • A designer who values collaboration with writers, prepress partners and procurement managers
    • An insistence on adhering to creative strategy (including budgets and timelines) based on the project brief, creative criteria and expected production values
    • A willingness to assist with coordination of outside vendors, including illustrators and photographers

  • Qualifications

    WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM PEOPLE WITH…

    • Professional experience with a design firm or advertising agency (2-5 years)
    • An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great visual/graphic design solutions is required
    • Strong organization skills
    • Ability to manage multiple versions of layouts
    • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within challenging time frames 
    • Proficiency in Adobe CS, knowledge of digital prepress and print 
    • Proficiency in Adobe CS, knowledge of digital prepress and print production processes
    • Ability to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities 
    • Creative problem-solving, strategic thinking skills
    • Ability to effectively articulate concepts (visually and verbally), expertise with typography, form and color sensibilities
