    As a Starbucks financial analyst, Inventory Finance and Accounting, you will . . . 

    You will contribute to Starbucks success by ensuring the accurate and timely completion of complex accounting functions related to our global inventory accounting systems. The successful candidate will support the effective management of Starbucks $1B inventories held at locations throughout North America, EMEA and Asia-PAC. Responsibilities include oversight and management of assigned general ledger accounts, financial reporting on inventory-related transactions and ownership of global logistics internal controls.

    LEVERAGING YOUR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE, WE WILL ENABLE YOU TO:

    • Assists in maintaining inventory accounting systems and processes related to raw materials and finished goods inventory;
    • Creates and prepares journal entries that are accurate and compliant with company policies and GAAP. Maintains documentation on processes and procedures;
    • Acts as inventory controls lead for inventory accounting and global logistics functions;
    • Contributes ideas and innovations to improve upon existing systems, work processes and procedures affecting month-end financial close, account analysis preparation, and financial reporting. Informs management of progress and roadblocks;
    • Participates in other projects and assignments as needed to support the goals of Inventory Finance and Accounting.

  • Qualifications

    WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM PEOPLE WITH:

    • Progressive experience in accounting or finance, including journal entry and account reconciliation preparation, financial analysis, variance analysis, and/or auditing (2+ years);
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing;
    • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines;
    • Intermediate Microsoft Office Excel skills required and Oracle experience preferred;
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
