    Job Summary and Mission

    This job contributes to Starbucks success by assisting with the development and implementation of marketing plans and initiatives. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

    Summary of Key Responsibilities

    Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    • Assists with the development of marketing business plans, promotional recaps, creative briefs and presentations to senior leadership. Ensures field creative marketing materials undergo brand and legal review. Prepares written communications such as marketing plans, creative briefs, meeting recaps, and project recommendations. Prepares content for sections of the company website. May develop agendas and distribute promotion meeting minutes.
    • Leads the implementation of marketing projects, programs, products, and promotions. Participates in the ongoing generation of new marketing and business development programs. Analyzes consumer and market data and reports findings to support marketing strategy development. Manages best practice information and coordinates distribution to the field and relevant departments.
    • Manages projects to ensure marketing products progress from inception to execution and delivery. Works closely with retail and field partners and business units to facilitate communication and ensure project integration. Promotes the needs of the field marketing teams with the field marketing manager. Responds to a variety of requests from field marketing, such as calendar promotional queries and answers to operations questions. Assists with business unit programs or products as appropriate. Fosters cross-functional relationships with multiple business units, partners and customers. Provides marketing expertise to cross-functional teams.
    • Manages vendor relations, and serves as the primary vendor contact. Ensures that vendor agreements are honored in a timely and cost-effective manner. Resolves vendor conflicts and issues.
    • May lead marketing activities for a specific business area and ensure communication of its products and programs. May conduct forecasting and demand planning. May analyze marketing efforts through pre- and post-production reports.
    • Oversees and coordinates or manages retail initiatives, trade shows, events, ad production and placement, direct marketing, production of communications materials or other marketing programs. Develops, manages and recaps giving programs in conjunction with team members from other business units. Coordinates annual field marketing conference.
