As a Starbucks Micro Web Apps Developer you will . . .

Work closely with system analysts, other developers, and Arizona State university interns to develop micro web app utilities to augment Starbucks BI data.  The web apps leverage Github and Node.js on Linux platforms.  The micro apps are end to end custom apps that will enable you to collaboratively design and build the application in its entirety.

LEVERAGING YOUR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE, WE WILL ENABLE YOU TO:

• Build new and sustain existing micro apps using node.js on linux.
• Enable various teams to upload key data to augment current data used by critical systems internally and used by retail field and stores.
• Maintain the Linux environments to keep the web apps available and usable.

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM PEOPLE WITH:

• Analytical expertise for converting requirements into technical deliverables and the ability to guide less technical partners to functionally intuitive solutions.
• Experienced Linux skills including apache tomcat and general Linux administration.
• Experienced development with node.js and Github.
• Strong application design experience connecting to both Oracle and SQL Server database platforms

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
• 1+ years of node.js, Github, Nginx,Apache/Tomcat experience
• 2+ years of professional industry experience with data engineering and app builds
• 2+ years of Linux experience
• Strong SQL query writing abilities for both Oracle and SQL Server.
• Strong experience is web application design
• Strong data analytics experience
• 1+ years of experience in Agile delivery
• Ability to assess impacts of patch updates
