  • Responsibilities

    SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    • Informs appropriate manufacturing partners and supervisor of machine performance irregularities to minimize the impact of production downtime.
    • Minimizes production scrap, including materials and coffee product.
    • Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment.
    • Operates equipment with safety guards and switches in place, and follows all safety procedures and regulations.
    • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
    • Monitors and documents soluble coffee quality using analytical tools.
    • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

    • Utilizes and completes Autonomous Maintenance (AM) responsibilities
    • Participates in process improvement activities.
    • Maintains scheduled throughput to meet team goals for reliability and budget standards.
    • Trains other machine operators and partners as needed.
    • Responsible for documenting changes to center-lined parameters and making recommendations to new process parameters through the correct channels

    SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs Behavior Based Safety (BBS) audits
    • Acts as point person for safety related items; coaches other partners in manufacturing safety practices and policies
    • Assists with sanitation tasks
    • Maintains regular and punctual attendance
  • Qualifications

    SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE

    • Perating manual and automated processing equipment for a minimum of 5 years
    • Performing quality tests using analytical tools for a minimum of 3 years
    • Experience in a regulated food/beverage or chemical manufacturing environment (e.g. continuous, wet process) for a minimum of 3 - 5 years
    • Experience in steam operations, continuous 24/7 processes, and industrial manufacturing environment for a minimum of 3 – 5 years

     

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
    • Basic math skills,
    • Ability to interpret raw data and make real-time process decisions
    • Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
    • Ability to follow verbal direction and communicate status of plant process to leadership & other partners
    • Ability to understand written policies and guidelines, specifications and safety standards
    • Technical aptitude to troubleshoot process upsets, adjustments and problem solve
    • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards, and British Retail Consortium (BRC)
    • Ability to perform quality tests using analytical tools
    • Ability to gather, record and report on operational and quality metrics, through manual or automated systems
    • Ability to work in accordance with quality, safety, and sanitation standards, policies and guidelines
    • Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a flexible work environment with consistent changes in daily responsibilities
