    JOB SUMMARY AND MISSION

    The procurement analyst works to develop new and more effective ways of turning data analysis and information into business solutions for the Procurement Desk and its customers. This includes regular audits of data and business initiative compliance within central data and transactional systems and the development of business tools to help ensure compliance and data accuracy. The procurement analyst serves as the primary point of contact for tactical support and primary triage of issues and where required lead cross-functional teams in resolving problems

    Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks Mission and Values.

    SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    • Executes compliance auditing regarding supplier lifecycle, contract terms, and purchasing preparedness. Coordinates resolution of a compliance concerns or issues with supplier and internal business units as needed.

    • Creates and maintains, in a collaborative manner, standards, process documentation, and tools for supplier life cycle, contract compliance, item setup, and purchasing processes. Utilizes data and customer insights to inform decisions.

    • Collaborates effectively with suppliers and potential suppliers to gather data, develop analytical insights, and provide recommendations to business units.

    • Assist in tactical preparation and delivery other supplier assessments, score cards and other analytics to enable the relationship owners to effectively manage supplier performance and relationships.

    • Uses subject matter expertise coupled with relevant data and critical thinking to provide business with best approaches and options for unique or non-standard needs. Takes ownership of following up and executing agreed to actions/resolutions.

    • Tracks and presents current status of procurement desk tasks related to new product introduction and other assigned projects.

    • Collaboratively develops and improves, in partnership with stakeholders, purchasing and recurring pricing update processes and assists in execution of processes. Takes ownership of tactical execution of pricing updates.

    • Contributes to and drives automation of tactical activities to improve data quality and through put of processes. Use own technical knowledge of available systems and tools to deliver small scale automation.

    • Works close with Starbucks Technology, Core Data Business Systems, and other business units to provide business requirements for system and process changes/enhances.

    • Effectively and independently manages multiple cross functional projects and deadlines and engages resources appropriately to support as needed.

  • Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Education (minimum education level, degree or certification necessary): Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 years of experience in a supply chain or related business role OR a High School Diploma and at least 5 years of experience in a sourcing, supply chain or related business role.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    • Experience in developing and using complex SQL queries or other similar data base tool. 2-3 years’ experience

    • Experience with a coding language such as Python. 1-2 years’ experience

    • Ability to convert raw data into a usable and visualized representation that supports business justification

    • and/or enables accurate execution of needed action. 1-2 years

    • Functional knowledge and understanding of ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) 2-3 years’ experience

    • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful

    • outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities

    • Working knowledge of supplier lifecycle management, supply chain operations, contracting practices, and

    • purchasing practices

    • Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of business and customers effectively (written and orally)
