FROM THE BEGINNING, STARBUCKS SET OUT TO BE A DIFFERENT KIND OF COMPANY.

One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.

This job contributes to Starbucks success by guiding store location strategy through the analysis, visualization, and dissemination of sometimes disparate and unstructured datasets. The successful candidate will support a full lifecycle of market planning initiatives, from business case development to tactical implementation in areas from store growth models and network analytics to special strategic projects.

This position sits at the center of a cross-functional team of market planners, data scientists and vendors, filling a key project management role while engaging directly in the data, analytics and visualization when relevant. The candidate for this position will be self-motivated, well organized, have a learning mindset, and have analytical, financial, real estate, research and problem-solving skills to succeed in a lean, results-oriented and fast-paced environment.

AS A STRATEGY ANALYST, YOU WILL…

    • Conduct location research to support retail portfolio planning decision-making in areas such as new store site selection, portfolio optimization and development planning by building and accessing creative information sources, at times taking on heads-down and scrappy data tasks
    • Build strong relationships while playing a product ownership role, diving deep with your analytics and data science counterparts to build specs, review methodologies, and keep the team unblocked and focused on business value
    • Use data to develop storytelling content to various audience levels within an organization
