    JOB SUMMARY AND MISSION

    This position contributes to Starbucks success by delivering and supporting technology solutions in support of technology initiatives. As a systems analyst II you will design and deploy technology and process solutions establishing key business capabilities enabling the realization of strategic initiatives and operational improvements. This role requires experience performing requirements analysis, solution design, product configuration, coupled with the ability to collaborate across various IT and business functions. In delivering new technology products and enhancing/supporting existing systems, an effective systems analyst II contributes relevant technical, functional, and process knowledge to ensure a consistent user technology experience.

    SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    PRODUCT DEFINITION AND PLANNING

    • Translates customer experience into product solutions and technical requirements
    • Manages product planning and development through day to day collaboration and decision making with a cross-functional team including architects, developers, testers and business partners
    • Facilitates user story creation and backlog grooming in an agile delivery environment
    • Responsible for determining technical impacts and align with business partners to balance business and technical objectives
    • Responsible for defining the acceptance criteria of a product feature
    • Identify KPIs for the product and define metrics to measure the product performance

    SOLUTION DELIVERY

    • Gathers, analyzes, and documents business requirements to support the design and development of technology and/or process solutions
    • Considers overall user technology experience in thoughtfully designing engaging solutions
    • Performs application configuration in support of solution delivery initiatives
    • Participates in solution testing efforts by developing test plans, preparing test environments, coordinating test execution, and validating test results
    • Creates system and end-user documentation to support new system implementation, enhancement deployment, and incident management efforts
    • Delivers training and performs knowledge transfer to team members as required
    • Proactively identifies and effectively pursues process improvement opportunities
    • Utilizes reporting/query tools to write simple to moderately complex ad-hoc queries and create operational/analytical reports

    PRODUCTION SUPPORT

    • Leverages subject matter expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting moderately complex system/user issues to drive resolution and determine root cause
    • Coordinates issue resolution efforts across peer support groups, business users and vendors as required
    • Provides support for integration with various internal and external applications

    COORDINATION/LEADERSHIP

    • Self-directed; is successful with minimal direction from more senior analysts when necessary
    • Provides constructive input and perspective to team conversations.
    • Effectively facilitates/negotiates through challenging situations
    • Interfaces across organization levels comfortably with internal business customers, cross-functional technical peers, and external business partners, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership
  • Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    4+ years of relevant experience

    Strong knowledge of any ERP product with competence and interest to learn and adapt to other ERP products

    Experience working on Master Data elements in any of the following modules/functions:

    • Supply Chain Management (Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Distribution, Inventory)
    • Retail Applications (Point of Sale, Store Inventory Management, Pricing, Mobile Order and Pay)

    Experience assisting teams establish master data management procedures and governance Experience writing user stories, refining product backlogs and delivering in an agile environment SQL (Oracle or MS SQL Server) Understanding of fundamentals of system architecture Expertise in system integrations Strong technical skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Expertise in Product and Item Data Management

    • Exposure to programming

    • Proficiency in creating moderate to complex SQL queries

    • Strong project management skills

    • Continuous Improvement principles and concepts
