Barbi Zakin Events is looking for an Account Executive with at least one year of professional experience in event planning, development and/or fundraising at a non-profit organization. The Account Executive will work directly with our clients as an event planner.

The Account Executive must be knowledgeable of all aspects of the event planning process: managing mailing lists, invitation design, and proofreading; interacting with clients, vendors, and guests both in person and via phone/email before, during, and after the event. You must also have an in-depth understanding of non-profit culture and best practices.

• Develop relationships with clients and donors through targeted outreach by telephone, through email, and physical mailings;
• Draft solicitation, pledge, and acknowledgment letters to donors;
• Identify and solicit new potential donors;
• Manage mailing lists and spearhead mailing projects at the start of each event;
• Carry out multiple event responsibilities and troubleshoot when necessary on event days;
• Responsible for tracking basic expenses and producing invoices for clients;
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint; and
• Collaborate with graphic designers to develop and produce all event materials, including save the dates, invitations, menus, and event programs.
