Finance Data and Systems team is part of the Group Finance function, reporting into the Group CFO.
The purpose of the role is to act as the Finance Systems SME: TM1, Blackline, and PRB&F and provide BAU support on system instances for US based users.
This role requires a hands-on approach with a customer centric mindset.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:
Strategically links IT investments with the business operations and processes.
Leverage deep understanding of Finance technology solutions and cross functional relationships to effectively balance tactical needs with strategic objectives that drive high-impact operational efficiencies.
Ensure applications are governed and controlled properly. Partnering with internal controls stakeholders to manage and maintain compliance and best practices for governance of applications processes and controls.
Foster innovation within the organization to create new solutions that enable business results and improve effectiveness of finance application delivery, which includes collaboration with business partners to identify and define automations and efficiencies through technology.
Responsible for leading and managing growing finance architecture and development; charged with supporting and evolving all package and custom software solutions for global businesses.
Partner with business units and technology stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies that generate savings, optimize total cost of ownership, improve supplier performance, and reduce risk.
Working closely with the Finance Systems Lead (based in Australia) to identify areas requiring improvement and support the most effective use of the system.
Providing support to the Finance Systems Lead to maintain and administer the US Finance Systems instances.
Working closely with US based Users to develop their Finance Systems knowledge and capabilities, and enable more effective and efficient use of the tool.
Lead collaboration with designers and engineers to drive solutions forward. Support the adoption of scale and usage enterprise wide. Document usage guidelines for IT, Product Owners, and Users alike and understand how to leverage patterns in their solutions.
Developing a close working relationship with the US based Finance and IT Support teams.
Developing a close working relationship with the Transformation teams, providing system support, advice, testing and integration into the business as usual environment.
Act as backup administrator for Australia, EMEA, and Asia Finance System instances.
System Administration, Development and Support
Design flexible driver-based solutions that enable or scale business process that promote data usability, accessibility, and self-serve capabilities
Understand requirements of system Users, strategically think through how to scale design solutions across global teams
Support the Finance Systems (based in Australia) with development and maintenance of the US based Finance System instances
Perform system administration and support tasks, proactively monitor data integrity and quality / resolve issues as they arise. Assist in supporting the US Finance Systems/driver-based models throughout the month-end process, forecast and planning cycles where needed
Support the Finance Systems Lead (based in Australia) to deliver timely response to support tickets and appropriate queue management
Challenge the current processes and identify potential system/process enhancements, participation, and review in development, testing and implementation of system changes and enhancements
Liaise with IT to ensure database and infrastructure issues are promptly resolved
Support the Finance Systems Lead (based in Australia) for Finance system version upgrades and implementation
Support the Finance Systems Lead (based in Australia) to complete system audits, license management, and usage and concurrency reports.
Monitor and action the GSD Finance Systems queues with an effort to minimize operational time on tickets
TRANSFORMATION STRATEGIC INITIATIVE
NEW PROJECTS AND IMPLEMENTATIONS
Support the Finance Systems Lead (based in Australia) with the implementation of new Finance Systems developments and project implementations; including but not limited to support with
project governance
co-ordination and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolution of issues; and stakeholder management, including relationships with key stakeholders to promote a positive change process
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
At least 4 years’ experience administrating Finance Systems
Proven development knowledge of working with TM1 Planning Analytics utilizing Turbo Integrator processes, Bedrock TI processes and best practices in developing models.
Good understanding of TM1 architecture, writing business rules using skip checks and feeders.
Technical experience writing SQL queries and ETL/scheduling tools
Development of Planning Analytics workspace reports and dashboards.
Understand upstream business systems and how they fit into Finance processes, working closely with cross functional team to identify process gaps, develop, implement, and maintain controls
Work with engineering to shape and drive data infrastructure design and innovative system solutions, including data warehousing, reporting, and analytics platform
Leads and builds forecasting models and oversees and evaluates/improves models (in partnership with vendor) that includes diagnose and resolve operational issues, perform detailed root cause analysis, respond to suggestions for enhancements, and create detailed recommendations for solutions to problems.
Experience developing or supporting Finance models on GL Reporting, Driver-Based Forecasting, Scenario Planning, Profitability, Workforce management, Supply Chain is added advantage
Provide User support and training to groups and individuals promoting best practices, tips, hints, and techniques
Builds process and tools for ecosystem optimization, provide an amazing customer experience to User groups and IT partners.
