The Privacy Manager will assess, build upon, implement, maintain and manage various aspects of Aristocrat’s Global Privacy Programs. The position will report directly to the Senior Director, Privacy.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Executing on high impact projects and providing guidance to all business clients on domestic and international privacy risks and requirements throughout Aristocrat Digital, including with respect to: 

      • Privacy and Data Protection Laws (including state and federal consumer protection and privacy laws like CCPA, GDPR and other global privacy laws)

      • Data Security

      • COPPA (including COPPA Safe Harbor Certification)

      • Self-Regulatory Privacy Frameworks

      • Privacy by Design

      • Digital marketing

      • EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Frameworks

    • Assisting in the identification, implementation and maintenance of privacy policies and procedures throughout Aristocrat, including internal user data access/sharing/handling requests;

    • Reviewing privacy terms in commercial contracts, including data protection addendums;

    • Drafting external privacy notices and disclosures, and managing/updating internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance;

    • Staying informed of developments in global privacy laws, regulations and other government policy initiatives that could impact the business; identifying and assessing risk and compliance requirements, including ongoing compliance monitoring;

    • Reviewing games, events and new product features to identify privacy risks and recommend appropriate controls;

    • Assisting in the development and enhancement of existing global privacy program, including: privacy operations and documentation, training, policy enforcement, privacy compliance program monitoring and auditing; and third-party risk assessment; and

    • Assisting in creating and delivering cross-channel educational presentations and tools about relevant global consumer issues that are pertinent to the company.

    • Help foster a culture of privacy at Aristocrat and drive privacy awareness and education

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    • 5+ years of professional experience in data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, legal or a related field, ideally with 3+ years of privacy experience

    • Admission to practice law in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction preferred

    • Working knowledge of U.S and international privacy law, including GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, online behavioral advertising principles, state data protection and breach notification laws

    • Comfort and familiarity with existing and emerging technology, including marketing, targeted advertising and data analytics;

    • Ability to simply and clearly provide sound counsel and efficiently drive complex projects in the face of imperfect information and ambiguity with minimal supervision;

    • Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate across cross-functional teams and help build consensus among stakeholders

    • Strong project management skills

    • Passion for continuous learning and professional development, with flexibility and willingness to dive into any projects requiring support

    • Extremely organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and help drive projects to successful completion

    • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams

    • Ability to react with urgency to situations and events that require a quick response;

    • Enthusiasm for taking on new and additional responsibilities as business and team needs evolve

    • Excellent practical judgment and reasoning skills

    • Assist with the preparation of various administrative and management reports. Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills required.

    • Demonstrate a high level of flexibility as assignments will vary by business and team needs and priorities

    • CIPP/US, CIPP/T or other privacy or cybersecurity or other applicable certification preferred but not required
