    Technical Writer

    Summary

    The technical writing team develops robust documentation for regulatory and field use of Aristocrat’s platforms and servers, manages a technical communication library, and defines global publication standards.

    We endeavor to enhance company-wide communications initiatives in a range of areas in a high-pressure environment.

    Additionally, we work with a global community of practice to develop standards for information content, format, and delivery that adhere to the latest industry standards and practices.

    The technical writer I role participates fully in all these endeavors.

    • Write and accurately maintain a library of software technical documentation.

    • Edit technical content for unified, consistent content written in a single voice.

    • Collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and end users to determine documentation requirements.

    • Deliver all content in a timely manner with high quality results.

    • Peer review content using uniform industry and company standards.

    • Ability to learn and work with our structured authoring tools

    • Research skills and best practices

    What We're Looking For

    Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, a related field, or equivalent experience

    • One year’s experience as a writer or documentation specialist

    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Share Point, Snagit, file management systems, project tracking systems, and publications software

    • Portfolio or samples of written work

    Desirable Experience:

    • Experience with Agile frameworks

    • Experience with structured authoring, DITA, and using a CCMS

    • Background in technology development

    • Basic XML

    Physical Demands:

    • Time spent at a desk

    • Time spent on a PC keyboard and mouse

    • Time spent reviewing physical touch screens

    • Non smoking office and grounds

    Pay Range
    $53,176-$98,757

    Pay Rate Type: Salary

    Our goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
