  • Responsibilities

     

    Uses advanced knowledge to analyze system failures and other unusual system occurrences to isolate the source of the problem and determine failure causes and recommends procedures for eliminating or reducing future failures. Evaluates and recommends action on requirements and specifications for communication equipment systems and/or networks. Provide technical advisory assistance as well as repair of high power transmission systems. Develop procedures governing the operation and management of IT communications programs and systems. Reviews daily radio logs and resolves/corrects operational deficiencies. Determine requirements for repair parts, on-hand spare parts and other support equipment necessary for maintenance and operations and coordinates with supply personnel to ensure timely logistic support.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

     

    • Originate weekly and monthly Quality Control (QC) schedules,maintenance actions, additions, deletions, modifications of equipment and any authorized modifications.
    • May be called upon to perform emergency work on transmitter and ancillary equipment problems during the night when assigned as “On Call” technician.
    • Perform other duties as the Facilities Lead or Site Manager directs.
    • Reviews daily radio logs and resolves/corrects operational deficiencies. Determine requirements for repair parts

    Required Skills

     

    • Ability to troubleshoot HF transmitter to component level.
    • Ability to troubleshoot high power transmitter feed systems.
    • Understanding of power and SCADA systems.

    Required Experience

     

    • High School/GED diploma.
    • Minimum Two Year experience working in a High Power Transmitter facility or equivalent.
