Job Description Apeel Sciences is seeking exceptional undergraduate and graduate level chemistry and chemical engineering students interested bringing innovative solutions to market to join our Formulation Sciences team. The candidate will be expected to work at least 15 hours per week throughout the year. Different levels of experience are welcome, but those with previous lab experience will be given preference. This role will work alongside our other formulation scientists and engineers to develop novel catalysts and reaction pathways ways to access target molecules for Apeels formulations. Responsibilities: Conduct laboratory-scale reactions and analyze reaction products to understand reaction pathways Design and synthesize novel catalysts Perform various characterization techniques to elucidate the properties of solid surfaces Adhere to the highest level of lab safety and best practices Broaden the scope of our research portfolio while pursuing new intellectual property Qualifications: You are currently pursuing a degree in chemistry or chemical engineering You are passionate about scientific innovation You work well with others and collaborate effectively in a team environment You are able to work in a laboratory setting including lifting up to 50 lbs and operating heavy machinery You have the ability to take initiative and solve problems You have excellent written and oral communication skills You are able to work at least 15 hours per week at our headquarters in Goleta throughout the year Apeel believes that the scale of our impact is determined by the teams that work with us.
