As directed, facilitates Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) job readiness workshops targeted toward appropriate caseload, monitors customer evaluations in conjunction with supervisor to suggest updates or changes to workshop curricula and delivery, researches current labor market trends and internalizes curricula so as to appropriately answer customer questions and concerns in the workshop environment; Manages customer caseload of individuals with barriers to employment, to include but not limited to; offenders, public assistance recipients and mature workers. Accurately documents performance and services to customers by entering all relevant services and notes into Connecting Colorado system. Utilizes current tools and resources to facilitate customer interest and continuation in work related activities and programs; Creates, maintains and updates customer Individual Employment Plan (IEP); as appropriate, develops methods to facilitate customer employment development based upon the customer's marketable skills; Provides guidance to customer regarding work history, education, interests, abilities and other relevant variables affecting client employability. Facilitate discussions with community partners to encourage their participation in WIOA programs, services, and job development needs. Prepares individual employment plans with clients to effect remediation of job-related barriers and/or deficiencies, carries out one-on-one job counseling and job coaching relative to targeted occupations and career pathways that lead to long term sustainability and self-sufficiency; Develops and maintains working knowledge of assessment tools and procedures; performs test interpretation relating to basic academic, employability and vocational skills; Develops and maintains working knowledge of pre-employment skills, basic living and job specific training resources; Arranges for supportive services to customer as available and necessary; coordinates counseling and support activities; Continuous communication and collaborative activities with Business and Economic Development Representatives to assist in successful customer employment placements on caseload; Knowledge and understanding of new and developing organizational strategies, and actively support and participate in projects and other working committees. Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: B.A. or B.S. Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Human Services or related field Or AA, or two year certificate ANDTwo (2) years of experience working with economically, culturally or socially disadvantaged clients in the context of job counseling, vocational education, vocational or pre-employment assessment, Workforce Development, vocational rehabilitation or related field. Or High School Diploma or GED equivalent ANDTwo (2) years of specialized academic training in one of the above fields (60 academic credit hours or a combination of academic credit hours and specialized training equaling 200 classroom hours) (Any equivalent combination of education and work experience that satisfy the requirements of the job may be sufficient).
