Purpose: Responsible for assisting full-time staff with various initiatives in the Finance and Audit departments. Working with various areas of Finance and Audit including Investment Accounting, Expense Processing, Accounting Operations, Internal Audit, General Accounting, and Sales Reporting. The program is designed to introduce finance and accounting students to the careers available at Athene. Accountabilities: Students are expected to work independently and will be responsible for ownership of their portion of a project or task once they have been properly trained. Students are encouraged to add value and provide recommendations for improvements to process and systems by applying their experience and knowledge. Maintain a log evaluating each project assigned and prepare an evaluation of the experience in order to improve the quality of future projects. Qualifications and Experience: KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Junior or Senior Students (3rd/4th year) Proactive with demonstrated leadership abilities Well-rounded and motivated Interested in pursuing a career in finance or accounting Excellent communication and organization skills Significant experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel PREFERRED: Accounting/Audit/Finance Specialization Interested in pursuing additional designations (CPA) Previous internship experience a plus Visa Sponsorship: This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization by Athene.
