    Mechanical Engineering Intern - AD at Auris Health, Inc. Headquarters Company Description: Auris is a technology company defining the future of surgical intervention. By combining advancements in medical robotics, instrumentation, navigation and data science, Auris is building a platform technology capable of expanding the applicability of robotics across a spectrum of medical procedures. Auris is in Redwood City, CA, approximately 45 minutes south of San Francisco. Intern candidates are expected to find and secure their own housing, but Auris is happy to provide tips and establish contacts if needed. Internships are a minimum of 3 months. Start and end dates are flexible. Overview: Mechanical engineering interns will work directly with a team of experienced engineers to design and test the next generation of medical robotic platforms. Auris is seeking self-motivated individuals, who are interested in owning projects and pursuing a career in complex mechanical engineering, advanced CAD and simulation techniques, and robotics design. Typical responsibilities revolve around fast paced concept creation, analysis, CAD modeling, hands-on manufacturing of prototypes, and bench testing. Core Responsibilities: Generate, articulate and present design concepts to team members Design and deliver prototype subsystem hardware from concept to assembly Work cross functionally with other engineering disciplines to deliver hardware Assemble prototype instruments and accessories with minimal guidance Identify critical technical issues with mechanisms and isolate the problem based on testing to define a long-term and short-term plan of action Qualifications: Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an accredited Bachelors or Masters program in Mechanical Engineering or similar degree Experience with SolidWorks including creating models, assemblies, and drawings Prior internship experience recommended Apply for this Job * Required (Optional) Almost there!
