Qualifications: Ball Aerospace 2019 Summer Intern Program: The Ball Aerospace Internship Program is a 10-week summer program that provides interns with practical experience working on relevant projects while working with designated mentors; access to state-of-the-art equipment; a competitive wage; relocation reimbursement; in-house training; group activities; possible future employment and the ability to participate in the Ball Aerospace Remote Sensing Team (BIRST) program to build and launch a rocket or high-altitude balloon. At the conclusion of your internship, you will be required to prepare and deliver a formal presentation of your project work to your respective department. Web Applications Intern Software Development The Software Development group creates custom web applications that augment our major Commercial-Off-The-Shelf implementations. This ranges from extending or automating existing features to implementing new innovative features. What youll do: * Collaborate with team members and business users to clarify requirements and confirm design/implementation. * Breakdown and estimate tasks in Team Foundation Server. * Implement requirements for both front-end and back-end components along with Unit Tests. * Primary UI developed to display data within grids with searching capabilities, along with entry/edit forms. * Participate in code reviews and daily stand-ups. * Responsible for adhering to the requirements and design specifications documented. * Responsible for adhering to development standards set by architect. * Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. * Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment. * Perform other duties as necessary. What youll need: * You must have completed your sophomore or junior year and be enrolled in a degree program for the fall of 2019. We will also accept graduating seniors enrolled in a post graduate program. * Degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science or related technical degree. * Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education. * Experience in web application development in C#/ASP.Net/HTML. * Experience with MVC & Razor using Visual Studio. * Understanding of the systems development life cycle (SDLC) processes. * Strong analytical, problem solving, and collaborative skills * Understanding of Object Oriented Programming * Additional preferred qualifications: * Microsoft SQL 2008 R2. * Entity Framework 6 or equivalent ORMs. * jQuery or other JavaScript libraries, like TypeScript, AngularJS. * Telerik Kendo MVC Controls or other third party controls. * Oracle databases, primarily accessing data through ADO.Net or EF. * Twitter Bootstrap or other responsive design frameworks. * WebApi, WCF, or other web service technologies. * Unit Testing/Test Driven Development. * Team Foundation Services or Visual Studio Team Service. * Git source control (push, pull, branching, & merging) Working Conditions: * Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, clean room, or production floor. * Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
