If so, Boulder County is the place for you! We're currently looking to expand our team by adding three Eligibility Technician B positions to our team. As an Eligibility Technician B, you will engage with citizens to determine benefits for programs such as Health First Colorado (Medicaid) and SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). You will be empowered and given the tools to make a real difference in people's lives every day. The three eligibility Technician B positions will have identical responsibilities on three different teams. The first open position will work on the long term care team. The second open position will work on the intake team. And the third open position will work on the redetermination team. We focus on identifying risk factors and being proactive in preventing crisis. Innovation is one of our top priorities and our practice models and systems are award-winning and modeled across the state. We are in the midst of developing an innovative risk analysis and accompanying practice to identify who is at higher risk and provide early intervention services, thereby providing more stability to those most in need. These are full-time, benefited term positions with Boulder County. The anticipated end date will be December 31, 2019, with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time, permanent position. Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Under FSLA guidelines these positions are non-exempt. Hiring salary range: $3,233 to $3,600 per month Full salary range: $3,233 to $4,655 per month Examples of Duties 1. Gathers and reviews financial and other pertinent information from applicants and clients to use in determining eligibility for all categories of public assistance and Medicaid 2. Verifies information given by applicants by direct contacts, phone contacts and/or home visits 3. Informs applicants and recipients of relevant requirements and program benefits for which they may have eligibility 4. Clarifies and interprets to clients their appeal rights and procedures 5. Assists applicants in completing forms and securing documents and other verification needed in completing forms 6. . Informs recipients on an ongoing basis of changes in laws and regulations affecting their continuing eligibility 7. Approves or denies applications and informs applicants within required time frames 8. Enters pertinent data into computer systems and uses appropriate systems to gather and verify data on applicants 9. Determines the need for recovery of funds or referral for fraud investigation 10. Performs related work as required 11.
