The individual will leverage quantitative and independent research skills in analysis of large, complex and incomplete data sets to identify and assess potential business opportunities that will result in measurable revenue growth. The candidate will work with internal resources to develop a strawman solution for the market under study. This will include developing business requirements and coordinating with IT Infrastructure to demonstrate technical compliance.

Essential Duties

• Utilize available data or replacement data sets, determine the size of the market under study with a 75% confidence interval.
• Use statistical analysis and market sizing tools to determine the efficacy of given effort.
• Determine growth potential, revenue base, and margin tolerance.
• Perform open source market research and FOIA’ing applicable materials
• Analyze data and determine competitor profiles for given market area
• Update Capture portal with competitor profiles per area and ensure that MAXIMUS remains aware of competitor behavior in the market area
• Develop high-level business requirements for solution
• Vet requirements internally with Capture team and develop an E2E process model for effort
• Determine high-level solution components (functional map) to be considered as part of the scope
• Coordinate with Technical Architecture group to define systems requirements and applicable standards
• Determine fit-gap against requirements and observe “build/buy/acquire” decisions
• Research through open source tools emerging market areas and one and two-step adjacencies
• Create a short list of potential markets for research Obtain approval for market sizing from Capture VP

• Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment delivering results and quality services
• Demonstrated experience to execute multiple tasks simultaneously working in a team or independently
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
