    Description & Requirements

    This role offers hands-on experience in supporting our Business and Finance Transformation Team to identify and engage with potential partners. This role will focus on providing research and analyzing data corporate-wide across multiple business units and technology partners to help Maximus fulfill its mission and achieve team goals. The internship is remote within the United States with preference for a rising senior or current graduate student.

    Additionally, the selected intern will gain knowledge of general business principles, corporate organizational structure and government process improvement. Throughout the summer, you will have the opportunity to meet, interact, and collaborate among various project teams, consultants, senior management, executives and peers. Guidance and training on operations standards and protocols will be provided by the Manager.

    BENEFITS / COMPENSATION:

    Hourly pay range is competitive and commensurate with education and experience. Interns are eligible for benefits. All computer equipment and access to digital systems will be provided to the hired candidate. Students may also complete the internship for academic credit, subject to the qualifications of their academic program.

    PROGRAM DETAILS:

    This position requires a commitment of 40 full-time hours per week, with availability during usual business hours (8AM-5PM ET), for the duration of a 10-week summer program: starting Tuesday, May 26th and ending Friday, August 7th, 2026

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    - Provide administrative support to project and operations management, which may include researching, identifying, anticipating, and meetings needs of all departments.
    - Perform routine administrative functions, including daily support of office administration, calendar management, meeting logistics.
    - Assist in identifying new ways to improve data usage and business outcomes.
    - Work on assignments that are moderately difficult and escalate issues to management.
    - Assist with ad-hoc reporting.

    -Maintain and update training SharePoint website and database, ensuring accurate records.

    -Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and briefing materials for internal stakeholder meetings, etc.

    -Supports strategic initiatives to enhance financial processes and improve organizational efficiency.

    -Responsibilities include financial strategy analysis, risk governance support, and cross-department collaboration.

    Minimum Requirements

    - Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a Bachelor's degree, preferred completion of relevant coursework in data science, data analysis, computational math, statistics, data visualization, and/or information systems.
    - Must have completed a minimum of 2 years of coursework.
    - Skilled in standard computer applications and platforms such as Outlook and MS Office Suite, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    - Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities with superior attention to detail.
    - Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
    - Strong interpersonal communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.

    -Preference for a rising senior or current graduate student.

    -Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, multitasking, and effective communication to foster strong relationships and support successful cross-functional projects.

    -High levels of learnability, willingness to learn, share new ideas, ask questions, drive innovation.

    -Adaptable, accountable and above all collaborative.

    -Familiarity with SharePoint website management.

    -Strong research and analytical skills with an interest in government contracting

    -Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to summarize findings clearly and concisely.

    -Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ability to work with data.

    Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
