  • Responsibilities

    Borton-Lawson is looking for an Office/Project Support Specialist to provide both project and administrative support in our Wilkes-Barre office.  This position will build partnerships and work collaboratively with project managers and other key staff.  The Office/Project Support Specialist will establish effective relationships with internal staff and external clients. The nature of the work will be varied and will require the ability to handle multiple priorities.

     ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide support to the Project management staff through project organization and project related administrative activities such as project and proposal set ups, project plan updates, backlog tracking and updating.
    • Assist in Project proposal and report writing.
    • Assist project managers with billing reports and invoice process
    • Proposal and project data entry/configuration.  
    • Create and update schedules in MS Project. Prepare meeting minutes.
    • Support senior engineers on project specific procurement functions.
    • Create and update presentations in MS PowerPoint
    • Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and presentations.
    • Create, distribute and file; meeting minutes, letters, and memos.
    • Detail orientated with strong communication skills
    • Handle confidential documents and information with discretion and professional manner.
    • Communicate with internal and external customers, executives, and officials.
    • Coordinate office events including celebrations, holiday gatherings, and community outreach activities.
    • Collobarate with Marketing on client and external events.
    • Maintain petty cash for the office.
    • Handles general communications for the office including, telephone, visitors, processing mail and overnight shipments as required.
    • Manage maintenance and supplies for office systems including phone, security, printers, plotters, janitorial, breakroom, safety, and fleet vehicles.
    • Interface with building management for needs related to building or grounds.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    Minimum of an Associate’s degree from a technical school or college and (3) three years related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint required.  Ability to learn new software systems such as Vision and Client Savvy.  Strong technical writing skills are highly desired.
