Reduction Initiative of Denver (GRID) is currently accepting
applications for internships for the 2018 -2019 school year. The
internship is intended for college students who are exploring careers in
the criminal justice and social work fields and whose degree requires an
internship. These opportunities are not paidinternships. Successful
intervention with gang members requires integrating evidence-based case
management strategies with a robust, systems-level understanding of gang
structures and dynamics. This is best accomplished through an
interagency and interdisciplinary team, comprised of system and
community organizations that bring a collective expertise in one or both
areas. These internships will be working the GRID Intervention Services
Program Coordinator assisting with the day-to-day management and
oversight of GRID's Juvenile Intervention Support Team (IST) and Adult
Systems Navigation(ASN) team, ensuring that all agencies working with
gang affiliated clients have a common goal and shared set of strategies
for each client. About Our Job As an intern, you will have the
opportunity to experience the coordinated case management practices
commonly utilized within Denver's criminal and juvenile justice systems.
Specifically, you will: * Ensure that clear lines of communication
remain between agencies and organizations providing staff and support to
the GRID Juvenile Intervention Support Team and Adult Systems Navigation
Team. * Coordinate meetings for GRID's Multidisciplinary Intervention
Teams and associated partner agencies. * Assist in the development and
monitoring of a coordinated case plan for GRID clients receiving
services under GRID's Multidisciplinary Teams. * Ensure that information
sharing continues among intervention team members. * Resolve problems
encountered during daily operations and determine appropriate solutions.
- Coordinate the gathering of content and prepares ongoing progress
reports for the program coordinator and partner agencies as directed.

· Ability to follow directions under general supervision and/or
independently · Ability to adapt to different environments & people from
