Duties/Responsibilities: * Assist the Mayors office staff as needed * Constituent services and office duties such as answering the phone and following up on constituent requests. * Staff the Mayor at events and meetings both inside and outside the office * Take photos for use on social media and marketing materials * Perform research and compose memos and reports as requested

    • Assist the Mayors staff with composing press releases and talking points * Assist with customer service * Perform various administrative duties Qualifications: Successful candidates will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and mastery of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel. Candidates should have strong organizational skills, the ability to juggle multiple tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment and be able to work independently. A sense of humor is preferred though not required. Preferred Qualifications: Background in community activism, political engagement or related field. And interest and enthusiasm in public office and public service. Work Schedule: The internship will take place during the regular work hours on weekdays, 8:30 - 5:00. Some nights and weekends required. Hours are flexible. 20-25 hours per week.
