Job Description
The Payroll Manager is responsible for managing and directing electronic payroll production for San Francisco Public Works (SFPW). This position will develop, implement, maintain and evaluate payroll and leaves administration procedures and guidelines; manage and direct professional, technical, and clerical payroll and leaves administration personnel; and coordinate and monitor payroll and leave administration activities compliance.
Qualifications
EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION – Additional verifiable payroll work experience may substitute for up to two years of the required education on a year-for-year basis. (One year of full-time experience will be considered equivalent to 30 semester or 45 quarter units of college coursework.)
One year of full-time employment is equivalent to 2000 hours. (2000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week.) Any overtime hours that you work above forty (40) hours per week are not included in the calculation to determine full-time employment.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
The stated desirable qualifications may be considered at the end of the selection process when candidates are referred for hiring.
