Job Description
Under general supervision, the Graphic Designer will perform specialized manual and/or desktop-published illustrating and art work in connection with the preparation of presentations, drawings, publications, public information and outreach materials, and similar media.
The Graphic Designer would be a new addition to the Communications Team to work on time-sensitive limited campaigns and outreach projects over the next three years.

Qualifications
Substitution: Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.

SELECTION PROCEDURES:
The selection process will include evaluation of applications in relation to minimum requirements and assessment of candidates’ job-related knowledge, skills and abilities in an oral interview, which may include a written or performance exercise.
Depending on the number of applicants, the Department may establish and implement additional screening mechanisms to comparatively evaluate qualifications of candidates. If this becomes necessary, only those applicants whose qualifications most closely meet the needs of the Department will be invited to continue in the selection process. Applicants meeting the minimum requirements are not guaranteed advancement in the selection process.
