Job Description
Project Name: Low Income Inverters Program Administration
Working within the Customer Programs team, assist in managing day to day operations of the Low-Income Inverter Program. The position will provide customers with program information, and process incentive applications and payments. In addition, the position will assist in the development and operations of other energy programs and will handle document management for the Customer Programs team.
Essential Functions:
Review and analyze documents to confirm eligibility and approve incentive reservations. Work with applicants, eligible system installers, and PUC staff to facilitate participation in active programs.
Respond to inquiries by phone and email, and occasionally in person. Work with program participants to explain the various program requirements and ensure compliance with City rules.
Handle document management for Customer Programs.
Participate in development of program policies and processes, as well as program evaluation and problem solving.
Attend community events and meetings, as needed. Participate in creation of outreach materials.
Participate in development of presentations and reports, as needed
Work with departments that provide program support, including PUC Accounting and Finance, PUC Communications, and Office of Economic and Workforce Development.
Provide policy support and analytical assistance to the Power Enterprise involving federal, state, and local regulatory matters associated with active programs, as needed.
Provide program development support and assist with operations of other energy programs, as needed.
Class 5601 Utility Analyst performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education:
Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university preferably with major course work in Law, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Natural Resources, Computer Science, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or other field related to the utility business.
Experience:
License and Certification:
Specified positions may require possession of a valid California Class C driver’s license.
Substitution:
Qualifying experience may be substituted for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. One year (2000 hours) of additional qualifying experience will be considered equivalent to 30 semester units/45 quarter units.
Qualifying experience includes experience in one or more of the following areas: planning, scheduling, cost estimating and resource projecting for mid to large scale projects; water supply/infrastructure management and planning; power operations planning and scheduling; analysis, interpretation and application of utility contracts and regulations in either water, power (electric and/or natural gas), telecommunications, or a wastewater/clean water program; utility market and environmental analysis and planning; power supply and transmission rates and contracts; generation, transmission or distribution planning and design; or long term utility systems planning.
