    Job Description

    MAJOR, IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES Your duties as an ISTP participant may include, but are not limited to, the following: 

    The Mobile Device Management Program (MDM) Team:

    • Participate in managing the department's Mobile Device Management system (MDM).
    • Configure and troubleshoot mobile devices including but not limited to iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, and mobile devices for mobile apps, VPN, and AD authentication.
    • Implement and maintain best standards for mobile device security management.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    IT Applications Team:

    • Participate in the development of new applications; may test software to ensure compatibility.
    • Assist in the design of new and/or revised systems and programs, and in the coordination of integration into existing systems and procedures.
    • May perform testing necessary to debug new and revised programs.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Service Desk Team:

    • Perform help desk functions for routine issues including problem tracking, analysis, and resolution, define and document help desk solutions, analyze and resolve system problems to ensure continuous system operations required for scheduled data processing functions.
    • Provide technical and operational support and maintenance for computers and networks, assist in network upgrades, log, track and monitor all problems and requests.
    • May assign logons and rights, print queues and directory structures, reset passwords, create departmental groups and run security programs.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    NOTES: The position may require sufficient physical strength and coordination for lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying the weight of computer systems equipment. The position may also require the following: bending, stooping and/or crawling to install or repair computer systems hardware, hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity for taking apart casings, installing parts and reconnecting computer systems hardware. Depending on location the incumbent may be exposed to or affected by extensive VDT exposure.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: There are no minimum qualifications for this classification. Open to anyone who is interested in entering in the IT (Information Technology) Field.

    DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: The stated desirable qualifications may be used to identify job finalists at the end of the selection process when candidates are referred for hiring.

    • Possession of a certificate in Information Technology from an accredited college, university, vocational training program, community or technical college, ANSI accredited certifier (i.e. CompTIA), or vendor (i.e. Microsoft or Cisco). 
    • Training in object-oriented programming, data structure and database. Preferably with REST API and HTTP protocol knowledge.
    • Technical Skills/Experience in the following areas: Project Management, Application Support, Mobile Device. Management, End User Training, Cyber Security, Net Core MVC, Entity framework, C#, Azure Cloud, T-SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, Bootstrap, CSS, and Git etc.
    • Flexibility to work independently and as a member of a team.
    • Communicate effectively with technical and management personnel.
    • Willingness to step in and contribute.
