    Job Description

    This is a full-time, special project position that may last up to 3 years (see Charter Section 10.104.18).

    DUTIES INCLUDE

    • Reviewing and monitoring project budgets and schedules
    • Overseeing the completion of the projects from conceptual design and planning through to construction and move-in
    • Coordinating work of a multi-disciplinary technical staff across DPH, DPW and private developer/contractor organizational boundaries
    • Providing support and contextual review to project teams on work obtaining permits, project cost controls and schedule, and reviewing change orders
    • Being primary contact for DPW, DPH, and developer partners

    • Bachelor's Degree in architecture, engineering, planning, or landscape architecture
      • plus 6 years of responsible architectural, engineering or construction management experience OR
    • Bachelor's Degree in another field
      • plus 8 years of responsible experience in a field directly related to the project OR
    • No Degree
      • plus 10 years of architectural, engineering, or construction management experience in a field directly related to the project OR
    • No Degree
      • plus California registration as a professional engineer or architect
      • plus 2 years of project coordination experience

    _One year of full-time employment is equivalent to 2,000 hours of work experience (2,000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week). Any overtime hours that you work above 40 hours a week are not included in the calculation to determine full-time employment. _
