Job Description
COMMUNICATIONS TEAM
Intern will assist with all aspects of promoting the work of the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development, including audience development, media research, campaign design, social media marketing, event planning, media tracking, data reporting and analysis, and some administrative tasks. The Communications Intern will have the opportunity to complete one to three special projects designed to enhance a professional portfolio.
Qualifications
Requires an indicated interest and aptitude in those skills associated with the target employment and a willingness and ability to acquire the needed skills and academic standards through training and work experience.
Required Experience
Individuals appointed to positions in this classification must be within the category of those for whom the Economic Opportunity Act or other similar Federal or State legislation is intended to benefit. Training and Experience: Applicants will be required to meet guidelines as established for each program; requirements for previous training and experience will be minimal.

Hourly rate of pay- $25.00 per hour
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING EMPLOYMENT WITH THE CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO:
All City and County of San Francisco employees are designated Disaster Service Workers through state and local law (California Government Code Section 3100-3109). Employment with the City requires the affirmation of a loyalty oath to this effect. Employees are required to complete all Disaster Service Worker-related training as assigned, and to return to work as ordered in the event of an emergency.
